Well he is standing down as an MP at the election, so Labour's campaign and indeed candidate there will be basically unaffected.

Any defecting MP is going to have supported their old party at least most of the time previously, which makes it close to a meaningless complaint.

As that post even makes clear, he is *actually* switching because of the NHS.

Really, "secure our borders" is a totally anodyne phrase that maybe 90% of this country will agree with - are they all BNP in your eyes?

That it is used by the far right means no more than when they use the national flag.

Actually, the effect that Stein had on that election is still debated.

It may have made some difference, but not as obviously as Nader did in 2000.

Actually mental health issues *can* contribute to bad behaviour online - indeed it is a tell if someone suddenly starts being obnoxious or whatever on the net when they aren't normally. Yes it does look like a bit of an excuse in this instance, though.
