Re: Thursday 9th June 2022
I think Johnson's going for some kind of record of how many things he can say in one sitting that makes me want to thump him. Like this little gem: Johnson says it is wrong for the government to be spending so much money on landlords. Like duh, why does he think the rest of us are so against selling...

Anyway back to the matter at hand. A Johnson win with a decent vote against him (say about 150), he carries on dragging his wretched carcass and sorry excuse for a party through the gutter, the public become increasingly incensed that he won't leave, until somewhere down the road he's forced out ki...

I'll just say that trans isn't an "ideology". It's just people. They aren't trying to convert people. They aren't trying to groom children. They are just trying to exist and be accepted. Gender is a concept, though, an idea, hence "ideology". Sex isn't an idea. It exists regardl...

Re: Bank Holiday Weekend 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th June 2022
I get (and have always got) that we are all on multiple spectra. I also get, logically, that if you want to label everything on any one spectrum, you potentially end up with an infinite number of labels or compartments and all the in- out-group stuff that this entails. But perhaps this (if somewhat...

I come from a place where I want everyone to feel happy with the way they are - whether that's black, white, male, female, heterosexual, homosexual. I don't see how trans fits in with that basic outlook, though, because it doesn't seem to be about accepting yourself as you are - male or female - but...

Well, appearing to be outflanked.
Labour, of course, very strongly opposed the withdrawal of the £20 uplift, so their offer would have been on top of the £1,000 pa that was worth, but the Tories count on that being too complicated for most people to figure out and the media not bothering to.
