Re: Monday 22nd September

RR2, about the revised badger statistics.... It a damning story, I kept wondering who profited from it all. Perhaps because as an artist I know what happens elsewhere to demised badgers. I'll freely admit to not keeping a close eye on figures, I'm a visual thinker, and find it all very disturbing. ...

TV regions is a great idea, it avoids so many problems. Defining boundaries is harder, but not insurmountable.

Re: Monday 22nd September

Just back from hitting a few charity shops... Let no one convince you times are getting better. It's pretty obvious that slightly better off families off are the ones that keep donations ticking over. Today, I was shocked by how little stock a couple of shops had, and although this was my first vis...

Re: Monday 22nd September

Christ - I find myself agreeing with him. Quelle horreur. The EV4EL business is the biggest pile of shit yet promulgated on the back of the vote on the 18th. The West Lothian question is *irrelevant* if you accept that Westminster is the national parliament. Full stop. That's it. What's more, once ...

Re: Monday 22nd September

Just heard Tim Farron fielding don't you agree with EV4EL shit from Tory wanker Peter Allen on five live. He basically said fine, but only after we devolve power to the regions. Said it wasn't acceptable that a bunch of Tories in the South East got to rule the North. Christ - I find myself agreeing...

Re: Monday 22nd September

Spent today catching up on the weekends posts. What a difference a few days can make. I've not had much to say on Scotland, it was my opinion that it was divide and rule anyway, based on the Tories sticking to a plan that is not of their devising. Simply put, to prepare the country for the changes T...

Re: Thursday 18th September 2014

After watching beeb coverage with younger son (unexpectedly, he seems very anxious about what happens now) am taking refuge from Jeremy Vine and his ghastly graphs. He pissed me off quite early by referring to part of his statistical bombast as being sorted by 'social grade' of whom the lowest are b...

Re: Thursday 18th September 2014

I'll be so glad once the referendum is over. After about two months of one group spamming another group i visit daily the Yes campaigners finally got my goat day before yesterday, even though I have a lot of sympathy for people who want and independent Scotland (why wouldn't they). The issue was one...

If you have 10 minutes to spare, read this, explains a lot about the mind-set within the ''Yes'' brigade, not everyone obviously, but there are recognisable traits that we have all seen in this campaign. http://wakeupscotland.wordpress.com/2014/09/15/ewan-morrison-yes-why-i-joined-yes-and-why-i-cha...

Re: Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th September 2014

I've really enjoyed reading today's posts, they seem so sane compared with elsewhere! My take on the whole Scottish issue is that it's another hideous Tory divide and rule mess, now way out of hand. I've got Scots friends living on both sides of the border, in real space and the cyber variety. Many ...

Just got a pop-up for something called Guardian Crowd. Anyone know what this is or have experience of it? Was wondering if it runs parallel to CIF or is there to replace it. Re: Gardening / Chutney

Carrots are hard to grow anyway. You can pick leaves off the lettuce like you would spinach. When I could still garden I loved growing veg but never expected much. Or at least not that they looked as they do on the packet. I've got a garden that has armies of slugs huge and small, brown and black. T...
