Re: Thursday 28th August 2014

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/aug/28/ukip-clacton-carswell-roger-lord Ooh, getting interesting now... The thought of watching them knocking lumps out of each other all the way to May is delightful. Since the boundaries changed I don't know that there's any chance of a Labour MP (Harwich ...

Well that is their one MP until 2015. I wonder if Mad Nad will now go over the top, or wait until after the election.

Re: Wednesday 27th August 2014

Just to let everyone know, I have installed a mobile theme for the site. You can switch to/from it via a link at the bottom of each page: mobile.png It should remember your choice from session to session. Straw poll. Does anybody want a mobile theme? I hate it, and to be honest the site doesn't see...

Re: Wednesday 27th August 2014

By the way, I briefly hopped over to the old site and was rewarded with:

Lost credentials - had to log in again.
Mobile Style - aarrgghhh.
Annoying advert banner.
App Store browser hijack.

I do not miss that.

A huge thank you to everybody who has put this new site together.

Re: Wednesday 27th August 2014

I guess I will agree to disagree with Temulkar on this, to avoid what will no doubt be a prolonged exercise in both sides stacking hordes of angels on their respective pins. And on a lighter but no less controversial note: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/aug/27/zara-removes-striped-pyjamas-w...

Re: Wednesday 27th August 2014

For it to be racism there has to be a power element. I am sure you experienced bigotry, but what power do the welsh or scots have over the English? whereas Scotland Wales and NI are dominated and dictated to by an English Parliament, media and establishment. Look I am incredibly pro-union in spite ...

Re: Wednesday 27th August 2014

If anybody other than windbag Salmond can explain why the yes campaign has momentum I am all ears. To me it looks like it has a chasm of credibility to cross, I expect a shy union vote, given the huge uncertainties around the absolute basics of currency, jobs and EU membership. You would have to be...

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/video/2014/aug/27/spoken-words-luke-wright-video Is it any wonder the YES campaign has the momentum when national papers send out drivel like this. If anybody other than windbag Salmond can explain why the yes campaign has momentum I am all ears. To me it lo...

Re: Tuesday 26th August 2014

I note that the police on occasions chose to arrest victims instead of abusers for public order offences. I'd doubt that good old common sense morality looked very kindly on these children and their families. The Mail wouldn't. No wonder it's trying to pin it all on PC liberals. Perhaps some of tho...

Good luck trying to spin Man U's humiliation as Bad News for Ed Miliband.

From experience, I wouldn't expect anything less from VM
That's harsh, best ISP I ever used.

Which isn't saying much, but my 60 Mbps download speed mostly works and they don't complain about usage.

Re: Independence Debate

Can I suggest we don't move yet and we run the daily politics at the other place until access is more stable. Hopefully a couple of days at most. Then put up a DP thread at the old site with the link to this site. Which by the way is brilliant. If VM doesn't settle down in the next day or so I will ...

Re: Independence Debate

Stay on here from now on? Think so.... Still isn't working from Virgin Media. Fine from EE, go figure. Not everybody is going to be able to access this yet. We should migrate carefully. Certainly need to as a minimum post a link in the old site - and clear instructions. But right now I am not sure ...
