I've come across numerous examples in my job where people thought using Excel to manage data would be a quick and easy solution.

In most cases, they were wrong.

Corrupted files, inadequate security, no data audits, the list goes on.

The real issue is when I get asked to "fix it"

That's such a basic mistake, it's almost as if no-one there knows what they are doing, but that can't be right surely?

Her questions started strongly but tailed off a little. The last question about grouse shooting could have been worded for more impact.
I think she ended up being too polite, and failed to convey fully the public's sense of frustration regarding testing.
