There's no excuse for me not knowing more than I did. I'm a reader, was a bookseller for years and my random taste meant I read allWillow904 wrote:7 out of 15.
Rather eclectic collection of titles. I think you'd have to have a rather strange taste in books to have read all of them. I recognised all the ones I've read, which is something, I guess. I'm not convinced by the page 69 thing, I have to say. If I'd picked books based on it, I'd have read even fewer of them!
It's that damn ticking clock. Too much pressure. I prefer Pointless.HindleA wrote:You would think with 40ish years experience of anagram solving I would good at Countdown,I am crap.
Electoral Commission contacts all counting officers in UK to ban 'biased' postal voting referendum guides as council pulps 5,000 leaflets

You'd think there'd be a generic leaflet designed by the electoral commission to show how to vote in any referendum. Why does it have to be specific and different from every council?rebeccariots2 wrote:I hadn't realised that the 'how to' leaflets had been sent out in several areas - not just Bristol. Sounds as though an awful lot of leaflets will be wasted.

Allegations of monumental #toryelectionfraud is a sign that we need to change way we do politics or else we will lose our entire democracy.
Stupid article. Polls have shown Labour voters more likely to vote remain than Tory voters, so why does it even matter if they know what Labour's stance is? Only Cameron can change the mind of his own voters, who are threatening to take us out. Surely it's all on him? The choice of the 11m voters that put Cameron in power will have the biggest influence over the referendum outcome. If they vote out, how can Labour's lesser influence counter that?HindleA wrote:http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... earch-says
