I think the fact that it is now being commonly referred to as 'Osborne's punishment budget' has put paid to any vestiges of credibility and ambition he may have still had.

A UK shale gas company is considering dumping waste water from fracking in the sea, emails from the company show.

Ineos, which owns the Grangemouth refinery and holds 21 shale licences, many in the north-west, North Yorkshire and
the east Midlands, has said it wants to become the biggest player in the UK’s nascent shale gas industry.

Mr Riots has taken to buying 4 tinnies of lager for £2 from Aldi. Surprisingly it actually tastes pretty good. If this weather continues we might develop a habit - good to know it won't bust our bank.

I,Daniel Blake not on the cinemas until October 21st(would have been our Anniversary).I was feeling down coming back on the train from my run and the lack of prospective "I didn't do it ' and "Yes,you do let's look at the medal" homecoming. There were engineering works,so a bus replacement part way, with originally times up the spout,I managed to run to a delayed train to get the connection,I sat opposite an old woman who was looking forlorn so I struck up a conversation ,she was a recent widow and we laughed/cried at our shared tactics to deal with it,a hug goodbye.Only ten minutes.I like to think it was meant.

Not too sunny today - but nice and warm (other people call it hot). I love it! Thanks for asking.

Edited to add -

It needs to be in the mid-upper 80s(F) for me to consider it hot. And I love that, too (more). At the risk of putting everyone off their food and\or drink - I like to sweat. Or perspire. Or glow (that last one always sound a bit unhealthily radioactive).

I've been wearing a cardigan, too (a lightish one, though). And socks. Still, it's a lot better than it has been. It's warm enough for the cat to have taken off her cardie (figuratively speaking). You can tell when they're content with the temperature, can't you? I don't imagine she'd like it as hot as I do.

Mid 80s? Are you sure about that? I find 16C (60F) is T-shirt and shorts weather, 20C (68F) hot and anything over 25C (77F) unnecessary. It's obviously a lot warmer down your way.

Usually if a cat doesn't shed its fur until this time of year, it's not a good sign for a nice summer.
I hate celsius. Never really know where I am with it.. 18c in Fahrenheit, is less than 65 degrees.

Detest it when the weather forecaster brightly chirps, 'Periods of sun, with temperatures hitting 18' as if its a heatwave.

[2] Kevin is the husband and brother in law of, respectively, LM associates Fiona Fox and Claire Fox. He is an organiser for Fans For Freedom [3]
