Jeez...I've got Labour people on my twitter feed sniping at Labour all the fecking time and not a single thing about Cameron's stupidity on the net migration target. Anyone would think that we've had a Labour government for the past 6 years!
Sorry - going to bed. Can't take this any longer. Hope I wake up to better news.

If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Come on people, I'm a depressive with a severe anxiety disorder who feels a sense of impending doom all the time but I still have hope.
Although maybe that's the cheap Tesco Muscadet at work.
Sounds like horrible news from Yorkshire though.

Re: Thursday 23rd June 2016
Hello TinyClanger.
The circumstances aren't horrible yet. I was always expecting the NE to be far more in favour of Brexit than the people who'd never lived there were predicting.
But I'm now in Yorkshire and the predictions here are far worse than I was expecting, at least in Leeds.
Ah well, time for bottle number two, might as well drink some decent French wine before it gets more expensive.

Manchester has been a bastion of common sense in recent elections (much as it hurts me to say so). Fluctuations in the Sterling/Euro rate. A slight fall, followed by recovery once the polls indicated a Remain win I think.tinyclanger2 wrote:http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from= ... R&view=12h
what's this about?
Unfortunately it seems to be behind the markets. Current exchange rate from several sources is £1=€1.29 or thereabouts. As the Guardian's live blog points out, this isn't quite as bad a fall as 1992 or 2008. Yet.
I'm getting tired of calming down....

Though the Euro seems to be rising slightly against the Dollar and Yen. Maybe it's worth more without the UK in the EU?
