Hmmmm....not convinced that is a shed

Looks more like some sort of farmer's outbuilding or sty!

Plenty of good shed programmes on the tv at the moment.....quite like the idea of a nice comfy shed!

I'd call that an outbuilding rather than a shed I think.....and it possibly has pigs in it

Mind you I am not a shed aficionado so may be talking out of my bum

Trading standards institute: consumers are no longer protected
It has emerged that the local government budget for policing rogue traders has fallen to just £1.99 a year per citizen

https://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/ ... -protected" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"During the last six years, total spend nationally has fallen from £213m in 2010 to £124m today, the survey found.
Teams have been slashed, with a 12% drop in staff working in trading standards since 2014. This came on top of
the 45% drop identified over the previous five years by an earlier survey.

The research is based on responses from 122 of the 192 trading standards teams in England, Wales and Scotland.
Around 81% admitted cuts had “affected their ability to protect consumers”.”

After what A and I spoke of. Only being prepared I'm afraid I've not found anything later yet. Not the tidiest of gardens but atmospheric and a haven for wildlife. Yes they are brick paths set in the grass. That bottom shed was my brewery full of beer and wine. I had to fit a padlock after I once caught my lads' friends lying with mouths agape under the pressure barrels.
That looks lovely utopiandreams.

Neil Carmichael has come out against new grammar schools.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-37002495
Education select committee chairman Mr Carmichael told BBC Radio 4's Westminster Hour he was opposed to new grammar schools.

"We have serious issues about social mobility, in particular white working-class young people, and I don't think that having more grammar schools is going to help them," he said.

"I think that the creaming off of the best is actually detrimental to the interests of the most."
Excellent.

To read some idiotic Tories you'd think the opposition to this only came from Labour. I don't think I've seen so much evidence-free guff on a subject.
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Sorry just found pics of when we took six eighteen year old lads to Tenerife. God I had my hands full, not least up Mount Teide where they kept going out of bounds despite my remonstrations. Some security guy had a real go at me as the responsible party.

"Inglés. No comprendo. Inglés. No comprendo." What could I do?

'And then there was the booze cruise that they drank dry. Brits abroad! Can't take them anywhere.

Seriously, don't blink has gone over my head. I've even checked if there were a cannabis plant in shot.
I would close my eyes if I couldn't dream.

Not that it excuses it but that article is from 2011, AngryAsWell. It was the Chancellor George Osborne bit that made me check. Still it may be worth a follow up as I doubt there's any significant change.

Sorry Utopian, I didn't mean to confuse you. Refitman and tinybgoat are of course correct, I was referencing Dr Who. That episode 'Blink' was written by Steven Moffat, who imo was one of the best writers of the relaunched Dr Who. Sadly, [again imo] he was, well, let's say less than stellar when he took over as executive producer.

My youngest with a cd given to him by a guitarist in a bar when he learned that he was a DJ and remixed music. I've no idea whether it was ever sampled.

Edit: corrected used to sampled. That's the correct lingo, innit?.
