Labour increase their majority by 2k+.

Although this is a bad thing according to the Beeb (down on exit poll).

Fuller results from Houghton and Sunderland South paint a more complex picture.
But the result is a 3.5% swing Labour to Conservative – the opposite to what the exit poll predicted.

I note that Dan Hodges isn't the only one to admit to voting Tory...Brendan "We're still Marxists over at Spiked honest!" O'Neill did too.

What a surprise...and odd that presumably this was the only option.

Surely the ultimate contrarian act for a witless prick like O'Neill would have been to vote Labour? I would have expected him to vote Tory.

Armed police arrive outside Jeremy Corbyn's house. Is that a sign of his increased political status? They weren't here before the exit poll.

Exit poll may be overestimating Labour’s performance in election, first two results suggest
John Curtice, who worked on the exit poll that has called all recent elections correctly, pointed out the difference between the projected and actual results but did not appear to worry that his projections could be dramatically wrong.

Hi all

Looking better than predicted a week or so ago :)

I would be cautious about the criticism of the Exit Poll - go and have a look at UKPR as they are looking at the YouGov Nowcast that has been bang on, and is suggesting Labour has been underestimated even

The media is embarrassed, and in some case scared, about a Labour Government

Even now Dimbleby is behaving like the complete knob he is

I don't know where it is going but it is not going to be a landslide....Labour were 20 points behind at the start of the campaign.....!!!!!!
