Good morefternoon, all.

Will shortly be going out for a meal, for the first time since the original lockdown.

Somebody got married today, reportedly.

In other news, delighted by the results of today's big football game - well done Brentford.

(Chelski winning also wasn't that bad, for once)

An RC ceremony, no less.

So all his previous children are illegitimate in the eyes of the Catholic Church? Weird.

Johnson takes the same "laissez-faire" attitude to his faith (if any) as he does with everything else?

Not really a shock tbh.

Though tbh I am still expecting June 21 to go ahead, the political costs of another u-turn could be pretty big.

Oh fuck I think I may be drunk.

Still, at least I never married a fat man for money and prestige.

It's been lovely here today, had a visit from a friend, went for a walk that ended up at a pub charging a prepposterous amount of money for rubbish wine.

Which we paid anyway.

@AK yes I too was pleased for Brentford. Third two seasons in a row and seem like a genuinely nice bunch running the club. I loved the shots of the old guys in the stands who had seen them when they were last in the top flight in 1947 :-)

Lots of scientists on my Twitter feed both rolling eyes and laughing at the scientists quoted by the Daily Mail who claim the Covid virus cannot be natural and must have been made in a lab.

Since you ask.....

As you know proteins are chains of amino acids that have reacted to join to each other. There are twenty different amino acids (usually), so different proteins will have more or fewer of particular ones and in different orders. Some of these are classified as positively charged (and they are in the body).

According to Gus Dalgleish (who works at a London hospital as an oncologist, not a virologist) and his Norwegian colleague, the Covid spike protein has four of these positively charged amino acids in a row in its sequence. This much is true. They then say this never occurs naturally, because there are too many positive charges all repelling each other.

Twitter is now awash with examples of perfectly natural proteins that DO have series of four consecutive positively charged amino acids.

Well you did ask.....

Also good to see Blackpool win yesterday, after their recent well publicised troubles. Rooting for Morecambe today!

Jerrycan Noah oddly resigns from SNP (it’s quite legal) (6,6).
