Re: Monday 5th September 2022
Good morning.
It is my 63rd birthday today so do help yourself to some cake.
When, a few weeks ago, I saw when they were going to announce the next PM, I thought "Oh great, spoil my birthday why don't you..."

If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

I'm older than RO'T and the MoD screwing up procurement has been a recurring theme all my life.

There are indeed times when the only way of winning the game is not to play.
Anyway, is everybody excited?

Re: Monday 5th September 2022
Not as convincing a win for Truss as generally predicted (certainly less than polls were saying earlier in the campaign)
I wonder if Sunak knifing Johnson was a (if not the) decisive factor.

I don't have a word to describe my state of mind these days. But will of course let you know when I find/create one.
Meanwhile Happy Birthday ROT. I can just imagine the joy that the Tory palava has added to your day.

Well there's good new and bad news...PP has gone but...what might follow could be worse.

Re: Monday 5th September 2022
Not sure anyone could be worse? Mainly guesswork, but imo PP is a bit brighter than SB, who therefore might be less efficient at being evil.
That's pretty much how I think about Sunak and Truss actually, nothing to choose between their intent but Rishi would have been more likely to carry it out.

SB is more openly bigoted though. Not sure I'd want to be a gay/trans refugee coming to this country now.

Hurrah!
Dorries has resigned!
There have been some clueless Ministers before but I'd say she topped the lot. No idea about anything connected with her role.
