Have to say I wondered if it was even real given some omissions etc. But really who cares, given how fraught things were for a while if it is real its not surprising, what is is that anyone should consider it newsworty or even valid for right now. Its a very Cameron style trick to keep harking backwards, full distraction mode which was no doubt the underlying accusation In the matter I posted about above. Why can't he just stop this nonsense it brings our whole parliamentary system into disrepute. The orchestrated behaviour today was shockingly awful. Planted off topic questions and all.

"discrimination in every sphere, she said, from inaccessible public transport, housing, sports stadia, to restaurants and pubs without facilities as basic as disabled toilets, to access to justice, making it also harder to fight discrimination when it arises.

The awful backpatting, congratulatory to the point of sycophancy, government benches lined with people who were actually laughing while Corbyn put a serious question about people at the lower end just made me see red.

You can see it on The Canary but be warned it won't make for good bedtime viewing.

Better, on the same site is the footage of John MacDonnell meeting with protesters in the lobby. Well worth the watch.

There were other aspects of PMQs that should cover the Tories with shame, but they seem immune to it. Lets just say there is a big difference between wanting a much needed solution for Palestinians and anti-semitism, and to accuse the Labour Party of being an instigator of the rise of anti-semitism occurring now purely as an act of distraction is beyond despicable, and I am surprised that the Speaker did not issue a reprimand. I am usually unshockable where the tories are concerned but it is becoming an increasingly surreal sight to see them painting themselves as so completely virtuous and the opposition as a danger to the security of this country. The only dangerous people I see are on the government benches, and their failure to act with responsibility and in the interests of us all will i hope some day be held as infamous by those who look back on these times.
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel." - Dr. Samuel Johnson.

As for equating even the mildest criticism of the Isreali government or state with Hitler-worship, it isn't "leftists" who've been desecrating Jewish cemeteries around the country now is it.

Sorry, I forgot, to the New Capitalist Wingnut Order Hitler was a raving leftie socialist. So long as we ignore funding by industrialists and bankers, economic privatisation policies, trades union policies, entire approach to class issues, and, well, pretty much everything about him other than NSDAP containing the words "socialist" and "worker" I suppose they might have a (tiny) point.

Because the way to analyse the likes of the Nazis isn't to study what they actually did and how they did it, but to take Hitler's words at face value. Just like almost all the leading Tories of the 1930s did. Which is an odd thing for them to do, what with Adolf being a frothing fundamentalist leftie and all.

You'll be agog to hear of my latest late night post-work decompression telly review.

I've just watched an episode of Horizon http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... ty-control that has left my jaw metaphorically, and frankly damn near literally on the floor. An hour of absolute grade one crap. A bunch of nice old boys being given something to do before retirement gets bolted onto some patently crackpot Slavic chancers and another charming Brit who can prove the efficacy of his microwave powered wundermachine by quite obviously giving it a shove down its highly engineered and well lubricated, oooh, ten bloody foot long track.

Is this what the BBC has come to? Horizon, a programme guaranteed to educate and involve in the best Reithian tradition turned into a lowest common denominator laughing stock. Harrumph.

It'll be sodding Nazi death sharks found in Egyptian pyramids next, because "That's what the public want".

*edit* Replaced "death crocodiles" with "death sharks" 'cos, well, crocodiles meant a doubling up on the Egyptian thang, and "death sharks" might result in a movie offer.
