Looks like Cardiff Labour people aren't impressed by Corbyn.

A rally for him a couple of days ago only attracted thirty people.
That's probably why the rally's cameraman didn't show any shots of heaving, cheering crowds ;)

Wonder why such a low turnout ?

I thought I'd wandered into a Kellogg's Frosties ad for a moment, there.

Could it be because they're pro Owen Smith as the home-grown article? Other than that, I can't come up with a tenable theory (other than, to some of us, the obvious) but why would that be just in Wales?

Well, its just a pro-Corbyn rally organised by a few local activists AFAICS.

Had an actual appearance by JC himself only attracted that many people, then I agree it would have been interesting and noteworthy.

By the way - I had a lot of sympathy for Emily Thornberry's piece which we had earlier (sorry - I've forgotten who provided the link). But I wasn't swayed.

AnatolyKasparov wrote:I would say most Labour inclined people blame him more than the other Ed, there was no need for him to pivot towards austerity in the run up to the last GE.

It won him no significant support from those who wanted to believe the Tory fantasy world of "Labour crashed the economy and maxed out the national credit card" but demoralised those who wanted the party to offer a genuine alternative. And after the GE these types just doubled down (eg Kendall's "BUDGET SURPLUSES FOREVER!") rather than learning the correct lessons. Which is one reason why we now have Corbyn.
Just not, as a matter of fact, true.

Balls' fiscal plan was almost I.distinguishable from current policy.

When I go to the link, I just get a message which says "This page exists to tell you this page doesn't exist".

Hillary Clinton (as could we, I imagine) probably could have done without the latest scandal (the aide's texts one), though.

I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, here's a slightly trimmed version:

Despite being a lifelong Liberal voter, in 2010 I weighed up the odds and decided that the risk of a Tory government was far too great a risk and I, therefore, would have to change my vote to Labour.

In 2015 I decided to vote Labour again despite the fact that, as nice a guy as Ed Miliband was, he was a bit "wishy-washy", however, I decided for the first time in my life, that I would take the step of joining a political party and actually paying a joining fee and responding to the begging emails of one Iain McNicol.

The way that events have progressed has left me with the feeling that I am actually a complete and utter numpty who would be best off keeping any "spare" cash in my bank account.

Possibly a bit of an odd choice - but my favourite was Haunted Honeymoon. Very gifted man.
