Unlike Labour, we Conservatives are actually talking about Brexit at our conference
I can understand why Labour doesn’t want to talk about membership or otherwise of the single market and customs union. They don’t know where they stand. We do

They're expecting people to believe them
They're currently UK government
They're scarier than hell

I was greatly perturbed by the number of times Priti Patel got a mention today.

From the daily politics blog
Someone - Paul Mason I think - has commented that if they're having this conversation with business leaders in public, what are they saying to MI6 behind closed doors?

He thought he was reliving '68 the other day, now he thinks it's A Very British Coup?

Oversight is better than it was in those days.

Though it isn't encouraging that there's not been a new committee formed after the General Election.

It's amazing how they've by and large got away with this back to basics bollocks.

The FT in 2008 had a good story on the battle over social between the religious conservatives and others trying to be rational. I think Chris Cook wrote it. He quoted one of the latter saying some of the stuff the party had said was very obvious bollocks based on self-selection.

Nice moderniser Mr Cameron did a very nasty deal with IDS and all, and this sort of trash passed below the radar.

Liam Fox apparently talking about unilateral free trade.

Trump will agree to that. So will every other country, I should think.
