DWP plans to harass children.

Not content with harassing adults to the point of dispair, the DWP now have plans to come into schools and offer “advice”. This will consist of workshops and one to one sessions to ensure that no child is at risk of “worklessness”.

They’ve already stated that children are at risk of worklessness in their Troubled Families phase 2 scheme. This is terrible. Children should be allowed to be children. To deny them of this ability is in my eyes downright cruelty.

No child wants a DWP official constantly brainwashing them into becoming a drone for the capitalist society. They want to learn standard lessons and to be able to play with their friends. Work should be far from their minds.

The school that has allowed this to happen have stated that they find this “exciting”. I don’t know if it’s just me but I don’t agree with this.

Having witnessed many, many accounts of DWP cruelty, bullying and harrasment I cannot see this as being exciting.

There’s an old saying and I can’t quite remember exactly how it goes, but it does say that to fully indococtrinate society you have to start with the young. They are easily mouldable into new ways of thinking.

Parents need to oppose this. There aren’t enough job positions out there for all young people to become employed in. A lot of previously paid jobs have now been changed to workfare positions. But maybe that’s what they want all our young people to do, to work for nothing. After all they’ve made it impossible for poorer children to attend university and achieve good qualifications so that they can find a good job.

Please read the below post. Oh and my daughter will not be attending any of these DWP sessions if they do start in her school. They aren’t getting their hands on her. After all th DWP wanted my unborn grandson to die.

More than £1bn worth of bombs, missiles and rockets were sold under government licence
to Saudi Arabia over three months last summer, according to human rights groups.

A bit reminiscent of Hitler Youth.

There was a perfectly good system in place that fulfilled this kind of role in a friendly helpful and user prioritised way, confidential too, but also able to tap into LEA support, and offer liaison services between schools and colleges, and disability advice. It was called Connexions, and was largely if not completely axed during the coalition government. Young people trusted it and it was respectful of their needs as individuals with hopes and individuality.

I despair, I really do, current policies are utterly poisonous, we are only a couple of weeks into this year and already it stinks.

It's more or less in abeyance since Merkel said they wouldn't send migrants back to Italy or Greece - and Schengen is pretty much in abeyance too. Suggestions that a new rule to replace the Dublin agreement will probably be based on quota sharing.

The kind of new arrangements being suggested are going to be very unhelpful to those campaigning for staying in if they are being publicised and negotiated during the referendum campaign. And it looks likely they will be. The Sun is, of course, using this as their front page immigration scarer tomorrow.

Very depressing Newsnight item on the new right government in Poland and how it has moved to directly control the state media ... it's trying to model itself on Orban's Hungary apparently which shows pretty flagrant disregard for the bits of EU treaties and agreements they don't like - such as treatment of migrants.

The most depressing element of it was the resigned conclusion that although the EU is looking into the Polish government's actions re the media and the constitutional court - as they would seem to breach EU regulations and codes - they won't do anything about it because Poland is considered too important a member right now.

I followed your link, A, and also spotted this case, Brutality of the Bedroom Tax exposed in disgraceful images of disabled Merseyside man driven from home (http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liv ... ul-9911421). It's difficult to select an individual quote as its all so tragic and unnecessary, but perhaps this highlights its banality.

And in a final insult, their old home is now occupied by an elderly couple who are exempt from the tax while Rob and his family have been forced to move THREE times.

Rob suffers from cerebral palsy , epilepsy, double incontinence and has a mental age of four.

He lived in his family’s four-bedroom home for 24 years and the local council spent £70,000 adapting it.

I note the family turned to their MP for help but notice no mention of IDS or Cameron. I do not believe they haven't been approached about similar cases but their belief shall always trump anecdote because in their eyes it is not real life.

As I've said before whenever I think of Cameron and his lies at the dispatch box about the disabled and the Bedroom Tax, why am I always reminded that my late wife and I never contemplated claiming DLA for our infant daughter (until she was older and a full year after my wife's stroke), whereas pig-fucker had no such qualms. I don't personally know anyone affected by the under-occupancy penalty and neither would it have applied to us but I am grateful that my wife is no longer with us to suffer the indignities of this government although I still have concerns for my daughter.
