Final point, I did suggest to my wife we recorded the presence of the big Red Admiral in the small bathroom of our accommodation (whilst she was on the loo) for the British butterfly survey. She didn't seem keen

Did my chores at 3.AM.Then again I don't have much to do.I maintain the practice of avoiding the need for them, though the shirt I have worn since January seems to have become a literal part of me,the trousers gave up a couple of weeks ago and scarpered to a nearby British Heart Foundation bag probably in hope of a better home, though I don't hold much to their chances.

As an aside, I'm quite proud of the fact that I have never parted with as much as a penny towards Murdoch's satellite city tv stations, (nor Bransons) I said years ago I wouldn't help fill his coffers, never bought the Sun either, although now and again at the weekend I have been passed a hand me down copy of The Times.Willow904 wrote:Sky is going to kill formula 1. The bbc highlights programme had better viewing figures - by about 400,000 - than the peak viewing on Sky.
Cricket sold their rights to Sky, just after the 2005 Ashes series when kids were bringing cricket gear into school and taking over the yard. Since then we can't even get students together for an organised school team, never mind them choosing to follow the sport. Golf has different uptake issues, obviously, but it's just another example of what a terrible pall Sky brings to the national mood over what should be really strong community-minded behaviour over televised sport.

Re: Tuesday 19 July 2016
Thanks for the link. I've read some good information from the author.
The author linked the BBC article quoted below."One of the most worrying things I’ve seen about Owen Smith is the claim that he has“very little self-doubt.” Labour does not need a leader
so overconfident that he thinks Labour can win an election on the basis of the leader’s force of personality alone. It must be a mass effort."
Lee Waters, now Labour AM for Llanelli, was hired by Owen Smith to work at BBC Wales in the Cardiff newsroom. Waters said:
"He was full on! I think that's the best way to describe Owen. Very, very bright, lots of enthusiasm, very little self-doubt, but a very high standard of what he expected."

I think a way out of this is the crucial intervention of "the pipe",which has both a symbolism to true socialism as opposed to the Blairite non pipeism and the proven success of Labour leaders in GE pre Blair, even if it was largely a way of giving yourself more time not to answer questions and control proceedings, its prescence was vital.

Am glad Eagle's pulled out. Will follow the hustings before deciding, and not send my vote too early.
What I'm looking for from Corbyn is some signal that he will look at how he can lead a team more effectively if he wants my vote again. He's on the back foot for votes in my household.
Still have a feeling Remain may have pipped it if more of his supporters had argued for it, and if he had been a little more enthusiastic.
Feel let down, and have worked for a boss who was poor at communication and undermined his staff, so have sympathy for those who have found it difficult if their reports are accurate.
In the end, in my job, my goodwill and desire to work hard was sapped to the point of depression.

Despite what I said the other day about Owen Smith's back-story having put me off him, I've been quite impressed by him over the leadership issue and, unless he seriously cocks things up to cause me to feel otherwise, I shan't have much of a problem in voting for him. He did support military strikes in Libya (though virtually all MPs did, even the likes of Diane Abbott were behind that one) and the anti-ISIS campaign in Iraq though.
