Don't you think it odd that the SNP, who claim they hate the Tories, didn't want people to vote Labour in England and Wales, thereby trying to ensure Labour were in no position to go into government ?

I'm not great in the critical thinking department myself but that obvious point seems to have sailed by the brains of all those SNP voters.

Murdoch, Tory, SNP deal - Tories will offer Nats another referendum, bye bye Scotland, Labour finished there for some years, Tories get England in perpetuity.

Boris has already talked about the 'federal' option apparently. So that's probably the deal.

I have to creep off to bed now - and creep it feels like. Truly depressing when you are living in a world that doesn't fit.

Goodnight all. Please may we wake to something just short of a Tory majority.

Before I shed a tear I should clarify something I said yesterday. Terminology is important and I may have given a false picture regarding speed-reading. What I referred to would more accurately be described as scanning, something I do in preparation for studying a text. When speed-reading I do verbalise but only key words. It's as though they're floating on the page and the significant ones float to the surface. I still use music though to force the pace. Anyway let's catch up on what's been happening, I've been laying in my bed far too long, perhaps putting things off.

Impressive result for Keir. Dobson had 46%, 25,198 in 2010

Labour Keir Starmer[4] 29,062 52.9
Conservative Will Blair[5] 12,014 21.9
Green Natalie Bennett[5] 7,013 12.8

Good to see that the Bennett vote didn't impact on Labour.

I voted Labour today, and I can't remember the SNP instructing anyone else how to vote.

Labour have to look to themselves. The English (and Welsh of course) Left has to look to itself.
