One of loveliest posts I've ever read, HindleA, thank you. Linen, silk, fruit and flowers...beautiful imagery. Mr citizen and I lookHindleA wrote:"The fourth wedding anniversary is said to be the year of linen, silk, fruit and flowers, with couples giving each other gifts within those themes. Modern practice, however, is to give one another electrical appliances. The gemstone is a blue topaz and the flower is a geranium or hydrangea."

forward to seeing you again, you're the best company anyone could wish for. We've got the new washing machine paid for and

Without naming Johnson, notorious in Brussels for his jokey phrase that Britain could have its cake and eat it, Tusk criticised “the proponents of the cake philosophy” who argued the UK could be part of the EU single market without bearing any of the costs.
“That was pure illusion, that one can have the EU cake and eat it too. To all who believe in it, I propose a simple experiment. Buy a cake, eat it, and see if it is still there on the plate.” (Guardian)

Yeah. Unpicking 40 years of trade agreements while the micro-organisms mutate.https://amr-review.org/sites/default/fi ... ions_1.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Many issues relating to AMR are complex and inter-related. Coordinated action among many different countries is by nature more difficult to agree than individual initiatives, yet it is necessary: drug-resistant bacteria know no borders. We need coherent international action that spans drug regulation and antimicrobial drugs use across humans, animals and the environment – all matters that this Review will consider carefully. This is a looming global crisis, yet one which the world can avert if we take action soon.
As the old saying goes.

Common stones worn smooth are very fine. Beautiful colour, blue topaz. I've got a bit of raw blue topaz here on my desk.

It isn't merely deceitful, it's also a copyright infringement. Which is showing a distinct lack of respect for British law.Most folks caught out being so constantly deceitful - especially when they have been elected to a position of public trust - might stop and think before doing it again. Not Daniel Hannan.

Will just share again what I said yesterday...
Do you think journalists actually pay any attention whatsoever to the real world rather than the one that is reported. Other than keeping schtum during the EU referendum, when, exactly, has Theresa May shown good judgement in the past 6 years? Her time at the home office is remarkable not for any display of competence - there wasn't any - but solely for the amount of time of her stay there because he [sic - Cameron] was such a coward and incapable of sacking anyone.
