I was just speaking to a guy who still thinks that leaving the EU will mean all those Muslims having to find some place else to live. I'd say he was in his mid sixties, he said he used to work for Yorkshire water. I tried to tell him that more Muslims would come into the country as a result of Brexit but he wasn't having it.

I had to leave and get my last bus home.

"Brexit: Legatum – hiding in plain sight"
That, more than anything, is what this issue is about. Foreign national Christopher Chandler – the principal benefactor of the Legatum Institute – makes no secret of his business model and it takes little wit to establish that his interests would be best served by a "hard" Brexit, which his Institute so assiduously promotes.
It is not acceptable that his money should be used to buy influence and power, and especially without transparency or accountability. And nor is it acceptable that think tanks should get a free pass when it comes to their funding sources. The whole system needs to be brought under control.

I have an elderly relative who thinks the same. When I told him India want free movement agreement for a trade deal he just said "well, we won't trade with them then......"

"I went to the DUP Conference and what I found was disturbingly familiar – this is our new Ukip"
It’s got a new name, admittedly. It calls itself the Democratic Unionist Party conference now. But it’s a blizzard of weird Union Jack waving nationalism with the Conservative Party in its back pocket so it is, by definition, one and the same.
If you are of the view, as many are, that coming with Brexit is a hard border and at best a glance back down the avenue of the grim, recent past, there were words you will not wish to hear. Foster told Sinn Fein it was time they started “respecting the British flag, the Royal Family and the Armed Forces”.
They clapped like mad at that. But if a condition of a return to power sharing is Sinn Fein respecting the British armed forces, one suspects the current 10-month wait is scarcely the beginning.
