No - you are absolutely not AAW. It happens to all of us - some of us (me) quite frequently.

I call them my hanging posts.
I think it's the time I start posting, normally late-ish :)

How did he get a pair of crutches if he didn't attend the hospital ? Last time I looked, A&E work 24/7 so there is no lack of Sunday services - unless of course Mr & Mrs Gove see the NHS consultants at that nice little set of private offices where one does not get through the door without sufficient funds.......

According to the Vine column in the DM she drove him to a minor injuries unit....which presumably wasn't big enough to support an X ray dept.

Don't they live out West London way (recalling the stuff about their choice of school)? There must be a major A&E department within distance with an X ray department attached surely?

The bit where the 3 mainstream candidates refuse to say whether they would have Miliband in their shadow cabinet is ridiculous.

The right answer was "yes if course" idiots.

I think he was an utterly useless leader but of course he would be an asset. Look at Hague.

Cooper and Burnham are scared of their own shadows and Kendall has grown twitchy.

Say something interesting idiots or Corbyn wins.

It is bloody ridiculous isn't it. Miliband is a hugely intelligent chap, we can debate wether the squeezed middle or irresponsible capitalism were election winning ideas but they woke up the media and they certainly rattled the Tories.

There've been some A&E cuts out that way. Helped Rupa Huq apparently.

Have your say on the Welfare Reform and Work Bill

Do you have relevant expertise and experience or a special interest in the Welfare Reform and Work Bill which is currently passing through Parliament?

If so, you can submit your views in writing to the House of Commons Public Bill Committee which is going to consider this Bill.

Yep. Especially when there is an on-call (and possibly on-duty doctor) within the Palace of Westminster and the excellent services of St. Thomas' Hospital's A&E department is but a short hobble away, across Westminster Bridge. FFS, someone could even row him over the Thames as the two sites are divided from one another by a mere 200m of river! I cannot believe that his 'busy schedule' means he has no hours in the day to attend a 24hr service. Other A&E departments are available...

West London has Northwick Park Hospital, Ealing Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital - all with major A&E departments - and a range of Urgent Care Centres capable of dealing with broken bones and open 7 days a week but not a 24 hr service. That's just plucking 'A&E departments near Ealing' out of Google's hat. I think the Vine-Goves are just daft and dim...

Ah, I see they were in Shepton Mallett at the time. Not a long drive from the seven major hospitals with full-time A&E departments dotted around Bristol and Bath. Instead, they imagine that picking one of Shepton Mallett's three day-time-only Community-Hospital/Minor-Injuries/NHS Treatment Centres could possibly deal with broken bones. Gits!

Edit to say the first edit was to add my second paragraph having read the caption under the photograph (of Gove looking 'forlorn, disappointed, and suffering' but equipped with crutches and a bag of painkillers) at the top of @AAW's link...
