How did he get a pair of crutches if he didn't attend the hospital ? Last time I looked, A&E work 24/7 so there is no lack of Sunday services - unless of course Mr & Mrs Gove see the NHS consultants at that nice little set of private offices where one does not get through the door without sufficient funds.......AngryAsWell wrote:Sorry but if you have a broken (or possibly broken) foot you do not wait till weekend to go to hospital with it!
"Sarah Vine, an outspoken newspaper columnist, reported that the Justice Secretary was unable to see a doctor during the week because of his busy schedule, and had been left “hobbling around on crutches, chucking down painkillers” due to the lack of Sunday services."

According to the Vine column in the DM she drove him to a minor injuries unit....which presumably wasn't big enough to support an X ray dept.pk1 wrote:How did he get a pair of crutches if he didn't attend the hospital ? The right answer was "yes if course" idiots.
I think he was an utterly useless leader but of course he would be an asset. Look at Hague.
Cooper and Burnham are scared of their own shadows and Kendall has grown twitchy.
Say something interesting idiots or Corbyn wins.
There've been some A&E cuts out that way. Helped Rupa Huq apparently.RogerOThornhill wrote:According to the Vine column in the DM she drove him to a minor injuries unit....which presumably wasn't big enough to support an X ray dept.pk1 wrote:How did he get a pair of crutches if he didn't attend the hospital ? Don't they live out West London way (recalling the stuff about their choice of school)? There must be a major A&E department within distance with an X ray department attached surely?
Yep. Especially when there is an on-call (and possibly on-duty doctor) within the Palace of Westminster and the excellent services of St. Thomas' Hospital's A&E department is but a short hobble away, across Westminster Bridge. FFS, someone could even row him over the Thames as the two sites are divided from one another by a mere 200m of river! I cannot believe that his 'busy schedule' means he has no hours in the day to attend a 24hr service. Other A&E departments are available...AngryAsWell wrote:Sorry but if you have a broken (or possibly broken) foot you do not wait till weekend to go to hospital with it!

West London has Northwick Park Hospital, Ealing Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital - all with major A&E departments - and a range of Urgent Care Centres capable of dealing with broken bones and open 7 days a week but not a 24 hr service. That's just plucking 'A&E departments near Ealing' out of Google's hat. I think the Vine-Goves are just daft and dim...RogerOThornhill wrote:According to the Vine column in the DM she drove him to a minor injuries unit....which presumably wasn't big enough to support an X ray dept.pk1 wrote:How did he get a pair of crutches if he didn't attend the hospital ?
