IMO brexit in itself will not **** the country, although the divisions over brexit could, or perhaps brexit is a symptom rather than the disease?

Poor government will though, in or out of the EU, we've been on that path for a long time.

Why do you disagree with the vast bulk of economists who state that Brexit will make us much poorer than we otherwise would be?

What is your basis for the contrary claim?

Another evil Bitterite selected, this time in Stoke. Almost as if the CLPs when push comes to shove know which way the votes are cast.

Let us hope for a better Green showing. Time for some actual opposition,

Well there were no actual Corbynites to choose from, even though the CLP had overwhelmingly passed a resolution supporting Jez last year - MOTWYW.

The candidate in question has a good past record in taking on UKIP at local level - that is what we need.

Greens will lose their deposit both here and in Copeland, btw ;)

I started looking at the East London Science School which seems to be headed up by people associated with Spiked and the Institute of Ideas. I thought for a science school this was somewhat less than impressive...

Curriculum
Key Stage 3

In Year 7 and 8 our curriculum is based on four key factors:

1. Following a knowledge-led curriculum
2. That all pupils should have access to an academic curriculum.
3. That our curriculum is the best route into higher education.
4. That our curriculum is subject led.
Wow.

By contrast, I looked up my kids old school to see what they had on the same subject.
In Geography, we look at the natural environments of the world and how human beings have affected them. We study different places, geographical themes and issues and develop geographical skills.
The Year 7 course covers:
 Our place in the world
 Rivers
 The Horn of Africa
 Weather and climate in the UK
 Severe weather events
 Tectonic Activity and earthquakes
 Urbanisation - a study of contrasting world cities
We use a variety of engaging learning and teaching and encourage the students to learn independently.
ICT is used extensively in the teaching of the subject and the department has its own suite of computers. Fieldwork plays an important part of Geography at Valentines and the students in Year 7 participate in a fieldtrip to Kemsing in Kent in the Summer Term.
Topics we study are contemporary and relate to Real World Issues.
And that's only one year!
