Not a new idea,by any means,previous Governments have mooted this as a pooling of income source/reducing budgets on "double accounting" which doesn't exist.Most councils charge,I suspect DLA/PIP will be similar -however it goes against the whole principle on which it was created,part of the uniqueness of our system are cash benefits to choose how you wish.

They will say it is for care/mobility needs-it is not it is a proxy for the extra costs.

Reminds of the a hospital appointment,where signs to the effect of utlising mobility allowance in lieu of transport,fine-a weeks allowance would get us to the hospital(at the time,thrice weekly),what about getting back?
