News only recently broke tbf. If enough people complain, they may give it greater prominence.

It is already big news in the local Stoke media, which is arguably what matters really.......

Firefighters used pedal cutters - a hydraulic handheld piece of cutting equipment – to free the ring.
Hmm, probably just being pedantic, but I hope it wasn't the ring they were trying save. :?

The bit of film which HindleA provided (above) used to be shown on TV here as a short intermission piece (in the 60s (?) on the BBC (?)).

BBC (TV News24) is covering the Paul Nuttall story but is drawing the fire from him by also covering (in the same item) the "Twitter" story about the Labour candidate. By implication, suggesting that they are equivalant failings - which, of course, they're not.

Edited - typo

Families of people killed in 1989 disaster respond to Ukip leader’s admission that claims about losing close friends at match were false
Steve Kelly, a member of the Hillsborough Justice campaign whose brother Michael died in the Leppings Lane end, urged the under-pressure Ukip leader to provide further evidence if he was at Hillsborough that day.

“He’s claimed that he can back all this up. Well, if that’s the case, that’s all he’s got to do to clear his name,” he said.

Indeed.
