Yep, her 'jam today, more jam tomorrow under Plaid' will be more difficult when she has to actually be accountable.

BBC forecasting team Wales seats prediction:
Lab 29 (2 short of a majority)
PC 12
Con 11
UKIP 7
LD 1
If that happens it's about the best predicted outcome for Labour .... so not so bad.

Wonder when Leanne Wood is going to suggest to Carwyn that she is First Minister for the first half of the Assembly term ....?

I will - it has worked pretty well so far.....

I will also invoke the gods of makethebloodybbcsackkuensservativeberg and ceaseanddesistwiththecorbynbashing (although, so far, said gods have been noticeable by their absence)

I would love to know that Eluned Morgan had made it into the Assembly on our regional list .... please Wales.

One of the things that gives me a bit of hope is that there are - if elected - some pretty good representatives with a lot of strengths and experience who will join Labour in the Senedd. That can only be for the good.

Thank you. At present it's not too bad. Don't know what bought the pains on so badly. I've been busy, but not with an excess of physical work. I can't take painkillers so the only thing is to go to bed and get really warm, read a good book and forget myself.

I'm wondering if stress can trigger it to that extent ... Things aren't easy at present as Mr Ohso works his way through all the emotional stages.

We shouldn't be too down hearted about UKIP in the Senedd.

In England UKIP had the advantage of their MPs being ex-Tory MPs.
They had experience of years in Westminster politics and constituency work.

The Kipper AMs have no existing infrastructure at Cardiff.
Their selection procedures have been lax in the past, fruit loops often getting through.
Now a spotlight will be shone on their behaviour, views, Senedd attendance etc.
It may not help their future appeal to the public.

Statement on Orgreave from Interim Chief Constable
Issued on behalf of Chief Constable Dave Jones, Interim Chief Constable for South Yorkshire Police:

“The Hillsborough Inquests have brought into sharp focus the need to understand and confront the past and give people the opportunity to explore the circumstances of such significant events.

“I would therefore welcome an appropriate independent assessment of Orgreave accepting that the way in which this is delivered is a matter for the Home Secretary.”

Morning all, and congratulations to those who did sterling service throughout the night.

My local Council is still NOC, but my vote has clearly helped a little as Labour have gained one, Lib Dems lost two to level at 22 seats each, the other loss going to the blue bastards who have 14 (others 5, unchanged).

It's looking overall like a good night, the kind of night FTN deals with very well by reporting the facts, not the Press pre-shredded fanntasy.

How do we think it will go if there's a vote on fracking in the future?
I'm not sure what the SNP stance on fracking is this week but with those figures, the SNP need the Greens on-side if they're against it.
The other three parties refused to enter a coalition with the SNP and forced them into a minority government before.

I don't think Kezia Dugdale's promise to allow Labour MSPs to campaign for independence did the party any favours. The threat of another referendum is still bubbling away and the Tories are the only party that have come out as definitely against it. Better to have kept quiet until the matter was actually raised in Holyrood imo.

In what way is that comparison "ludicrous"? Certainly it makes more sense in some ways to compare results with that rather than 2012 when UKIP were still barely a thing.

Btw, looks like Coburn might have been elected as a list MSP - uniquely left wing Scotland, again ;)
