Kerry Moscogiuri, Amnesty International UK’s campaigns director, told The Independent: “If accurate, these figures are deeply worrying, and they bear out our initial concerns that divisive political campaigning last summer gave licence to the expression of discriminatory views in a way we haven’t seen for decades.
While Stephen Hawking ponders on human aggression:
“Since civilisation began, aggression has been useful in as much as it has definite survival advantages,” he said. “It is hardwired into our genes by Darwinian evolution. Now, however, technology has advanced at such a pace that this aggression may destroy us all by nuclear or biological war. We need to control this inherited instinct by our logic and reason.

Political correctness gone mad. They don't understand how ordinary people in left behind areas feel.

A man has been charged over alleged online threats against Gina Miller, the woman behind the Brexit legal challenge.
Rhodri Colwyn Philipps, 50, from Knightsbridge, central London, was arrested after police received a complaint last November.
Hang on a minute. They do have the odd council flat in rich parts of London. with proper old Cockneys hanging on. That must be it.
Rhodri Philipps is also known as the 4th Viscount St Davids and holds the titles Lord Strange of Knockin, Lord Hungerford, and Lord de Moleyns.
Um.

Jeremy Lefroy, the Stafford MP, echoed Poulter’s call. “I am hoping there will be something in the budget,” he said. “I would expect the chancellor to say we can’t just find the money when we’re in deficit – it will need to be funded through raising national insurance, or something similar.”
Indeed. Could be a chance for Corbyn to lead the agenda here. Going to be some sort of tax rise starting fairly low down. Can't really lose many more votes, and he'd be right.

Rachel Reeves talking about the budget.

I've already had to respond to the inevitable "she said she'd be tougher than the Tories on welfare" nonsense.
