Maybe Lenny's gone off to deal with this lot:

The “legislative tsunami” unleashed by Brexit will deliver the “greatest challenge” in history to the integrity of parliament’s procedures, a former lord chief justice has said.
Lord Judge raised his concerns that by the time Brexit is completed and the “great repeal bill” enacted, MPs and peers will have effectively given away their powers to pass laws.
Speaking at the Bingham Centre in London, the former judge said parliament was failing to scrutinise legislation in detail.

AK, not everybody who regards Corbyn as a Tory enabling disaster with dubious morals is a Blairite. Many of us were delighted with Ed Miliband as leader, and similarly Kinnock and Smith. You may refer to us as centre left.

Sure we were happy with Blair 97-2005+, who wouldn't be. We were in power and changing things for the better. Brown was also ok by me, history will be kinder to him than the current media.

True, she may be consciously following the Donald Trump playbook instead. That dictates that, when in a tight corner, you calculatedly attack the media or make up some half-baked conspiracy theory to distract everyone from some gaffe policy flop of your own. In this case it would be the failure of the Brexit talks before they’ve even started, and a ridiculed idea for social care vouchers.

But she isn't in a tight corner, she is romping home with a bigger than 97 landslide.

Which makes this even more bonkers and worrying.

There is no credible solution for a hard Brexit that doesn't crash the economy for a decade, and may induce the sort of economic shock that results in widespread violence and some killing.

Which means she can't afford to go there, in which case this isn't helping. Or more worryingly she is happy to trash the country and hold power by kicking the shit out of the plebs.

I'm not defending Ruth Davidson but imo the SNP (who have been going on about this for weeks) are fighting the wrong battle. The problem is the benefits cap, not the exception for rape cases.
It's also worth remembering that Holyrood has the power to pay benefits for the third and subsequent children. The SNP choose to air a grievance rather than negate it.
From today, [September 2016] the Scottish Parliament assumes powers to:
•Create new benefits in devolved areas.
•Top up reserved benefits (such Universal Credit, Tax Credits and Child Benefit).
•Make discretionary payments and assistance.
•Change employment support.
•Make changes to Universal Credit for the costs of rented accommodation.
•Make changes to Universal Credit on the timing of payments and recipients.

In addition, from 1 April next year, the Scottish Parliament will take on the power to make discretionary housing payments. Other welfare powers (including responsibility for carers and disability benefits, maternity payments and funeral payments) will transfer at a later date.

Thanks for the Scottish perspective.

South of the Border in Farage-Johnson Land we find her comments outrageous, because we see them simply as defending the morally indefensible. Owing to the nature of our glorious free press the SNP view is largely hidden.

Your analysis of their words versus their actions, and their refusal to nullify one of the most stupid and repulsive Tory policies ever, is both forensic and utterly damning.

Yep, the generation that brought us Cameron and Brexit are also self obsessed and dependent on alcohol. Mind you with Tory governments for the next decade and Lurch as PM, they may have a point on the latter flaw.
