Legal lacuna prevented Grenfell Tower residents taking action
The dangers were known and no one with the authority to do so acted

Good lord!
Meanwhile, comments are currently still open below the line under this article.
Where to house the Grenfell homeless? Expropriate the rich’s empty investments

The article has a volatile title, the content isn't outrageous. I'm astounded by the hate-filled comments wondering why the article and author are...allowed.

If Theresa May came again to make up for not speaking to people yesterday she may well have made things worse by leaving the way she did

Its open season on our PM now. Almost possible to feel sorry for her.........until you recall how often in the past year she has abused her office for naked partisan gain.

Those who live by such stuff are also liable to die by it.

If Theresa doesn't get a grip on this soon London is going to go wild.

Agree with Tem and SH. Hot weather expected over the weekend, anger rising, this needs strong community policing to stop things going off.

Hubris described an act intentionally designed to dishonour its victim. Hubris was something expressly calculated to cause shame to the weak. Hubris was tinged with violence. Hubris was excessive and brutal.

Hubris in this wider sense has seemed to many to sum up the arrogance of the Tory party in its seven years in power.
