I don't think anyone, except maybe tangentially, thought that his comment was directed at the victims. He was, however, suggesting that the protesters should have gone through "legitimate" channels - those channels having so signally failed in the past. He seems incapable of understanding the anger and anguish and the total, criminal uselessness of the Council both in the past and in the present.

I wonder if, now that they've had to accept that Corbyn is not electoral suicide, one of the Con's plans and desires for holding on as long as possible is that he will be significantly more 'old' come the next fixed-term election.

(Just to be clear, this is not a comment from me about disparaging age, but I can see how people might try to make an electoral issue out of it. Obviously whether they'd actually manage to make anything of it is another question.)

Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation

On 1 April 1996 responsibility for managing 9,760 properties passed from The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to a tenant management organisation. These are located across the borough and range from studio flats to four bedroom houses.

The Council still owns the properties and retains responsibility for strategic housing policies and homeless people. The relationship between the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO) and the Council is governed by a management agreement, which covers all areas of the landlord business. Whilst the KCTMO still enjoys a close working relationship with the Council, it is a completely separate company.

Very tangentally,when we got a DFG for works,it has to be put out to tender,we were involved at every stage/development ie.what we thought,how we were treated ,should we use them again etc.ie constant feedback.They wouldn't sign off(ie release full payment for works) until we were satisfied.

I worked for a woman who was also a dear friend. The last time I saw her she was 92 years old, physically strong, she suffered from dementia. She refused to call herself old or accept growing older. I asked her the alternative to growing older She immediately replied, 'growing younger'. We're both fine with that and I highly recommend it.

To win next time, Labour must provide a strong opposition to the Tories, stand up for the values of our voters, and continue to fight for the interests of all – not least young people who have the most to lose from an extreme Tory Brexit and who voted for the first time in 2017 for Labour, thinking we would stop the Tories in their tracks. This has to mean fighting unambiguously for membership of the single market. At the very least we should strongly oppose May’s decision to take membership off the table in these negotiations. An ambitious and confident alternative government – with Corbyn at the helm – should not throw in the towel as May has done, but could seek membership with reforms on immigration and the other matters we seek.

If this parliament makes it to 2021/22 - unlikely at the moment I know, but it is IMO harder to force an early election than some realise - then its not impossible that all of May, Corbyn and even Cable (assuming he is elected, as is overwhelmingly likely) could be gone.
