The UK, he said, never liked the political nature of the EU anyway (1), and was less committed to it than neighbours like France or Greece. He also noted how the UK did not join the single currency system, and that its people did not like the European flag (2).
(1) on account of him and his mates telling us how terrible it was for 40 years

Been gardening, laying paving stones,(I seem to be gaining a reputation of knowing what I am doing,I haven't,I may regret my mention I laid a few in mine) most of the day, helping my dad who forgets he is in his mid eighties and hasn't lost his competitive spirit and timing the effort)I particularly enjoyed using the leaves blowing device, but did get stuck in a few trees in my exuberance.

When Cameron stood for Tory leader he did it as an anti-EU candidate. Most thought that was just to win, I have thought for ages he meant what he said and just bided his time till he could get into full "out" mode. Had to see of the LibDems first.
Sorry I've been a bit semi-detached lately - so much going on at school lately, I feel I almost live there...
I realised that I left school 40 years ago today.
Looking back it may well have been for the best that I failed O levels in year 5 and ended up doing some completely new subjects in the Lower 6th - Accounts, Economics and Statistics + retaking 2 x English. It was only then I discovered I had a natural aptitude for accountancy which then shaped my career of 31 years.
Funny how things turn out...
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.
