The Will of Some of the People part 2.

http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/pop-estim ... hart-5.xls" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

--> approx 800,000 UK 16-year olds and 800,000 17-year olds = 1.6 million of which 75% (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... main-in-eu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
= 1.2 million

Leave the European Union 17.4 million
Remain a member of the European Union 16.1 million

UK expats with no vote in referendum = 3 million
TOTAL = 37.8 million
Leave = 46.0 percent
And that's before the alleged swing (48% remain to 52% remain).

Suck it up remoaners.

Equality between women and men is one of the EU’s founding values – the principle of equal pay is included in the 1957 Treaty of Rome. We have no equivalent in the UK. By leaving the EU we are trusting the UK government to maintain its commitment to equality; the extent of this commitment is in turn dependent on the government of the day and the degree to which this is a priority for them. Equality is therefore vulnerable to the political climate, and to some extent, national sentiment at any one time.

"Could Peters(NZ First leader who has lost his seat)side with Labour over National? They have some strong ideological points of commonality and Peters has some sworn enemies in the National camp, including finance minister Steven Joyce.

This year Peters has also slowly turned against Bill English, calling for his resignation over the Todd Barclay affair, when a government MP resigned amid claims he made illegal tape recordings of a former staff member.

With 72-year-old Peters looking at his last few years in politics he too, might be ready for change. The upset of Labour taking over because of his choice would certainly appeal to his sense of theatre.

Labour’s hope for change just about lives on – but now it all hangs on a cantankerous politician who has often said he’d rather be fishing."

It was all a bit of a non-event, wasn't it? Nothing has changed, as they say - other than a magnanimous undertaking to continue to pay for another two years' EU membership because we are continuing to be members for another two years.

Afternoon

What am I losing at now? Not that it bothers me though as I am a Wolves supporter and am used to wearing defeat well.

So if I am clear on yesterday's speech - May has repeated her waffle on the substance apart from indicating her vision is for the post transition relationship looks pretty 'hard' and is copying Labour's policy for the transition (which she could have done months ago).....thus managing to upset both the Remain and Leave wings of her party at the same time as not doing anything to help the negotiations? That takes some skill
