Good Corbyn one and all.

Today Labour will not be debating scone recipes, well not with a binding vote on preferred recipe anyway. Therefore we should clearly argue the toss about scone recipes all day.

If anyone has any suggestions of other things that Labour won't be debating and that we should therefore discuss, please say so. Answers on a postcard to..... Oh no there aren't any postcards any more.

In other news, Nick Cave was outstanding, though the moments when he is clearly thinking about his dead son are almost unbearable. He is still a magnetic presence on stage and his voice is perhaps even more powerful than I remember.

Slightly annoyingly Alex Petridis also found Cave to be "magnetic" in this 5 star review

I think someone must have linked it as I've seen it before, too.

The thing that jumps out at me is the idea that all trusts are equal so the struggling ones must be able to pull themselves up to the level of the less struggling ones. Different demographics, different geography, different financial circumstances (PFI)....

The privatised Hinchingbrooke hospital was a total fail. The private sector is not falling over itself to take on any of the hard stuff, so the government is stuck with the NHS for the foreseeable, especially stuff like A&E and will be held accountable to a degree however hard the media try to shield them. So what's their answer? Give trusts less money and then yell at them. Charming.

Surely It's jumping the gun a bit to start discussing scone recipes already?
Suggest preliminary discussions need to cover

I) What exactly is meant by 'scone',
Definition, pronunciation, should we just accept that 'scone is scone' at this stage?

ii) Are we willing to pay for continued access to the scone, if so how much & for how long.

iii) Can the scone be replaced with an off the shelf alternative - this may be a suitable point to start considering ingredients.

iv) If an ad-hoc scone is needed, then should move to full debate on recipes, as you have suggested, maybe widening the debate to discuss associated issues
(butter, jam*,cream, serving temperature, accompanying beverages etc.)

I don't know. I've just got a generally low tolerance of people who answer questions with questions. Especially idiotic ones that imply that places without "Nye Bevan's NHS" and have people like us dropping dead en masse.

And I do know that Skinner voted for the Repeal Bill two weeks ago.
