As I just tweeted, the attacks on Universities are quite absurd.

Not just the Brexit bias story, but Cambridge "decolonising" the curriculum and the largely fake stories about lecturers giving "trigger warnings".

The truth is our Universities are operating in the most uncertain environment that anyone can remember. The government changes its policies on an almost weekly basis, Brexit brings massive challenges etc. etc.

Of course Universities are not above criticism or debate, but this is ludicrous. A distraction of mega-squirrel proportions!

Going back a few years the World at One on Radio4 introduced Niall Ferguson from the 'Heritage Foundation' as though it was a respectable, neutral, academic organisation, instead of being a well-known biased rightwing thinktank . And this position of taking Gorka seriously is along the same lines as allowing Lawson to lie, factually, on climate change .

Gorka comes across convincingly, is a very good propagandist , and has Trump's full approval --

The idea is, not surprisingly, getting a mauling on Sky TV News - despite (no, not "Brexit") the interviewer's best efforts.

One of the questions was along the lines of "wouldn't people who are perhaps recovering from something like a broken leg, and who know and trust friends and neighbours like to . . . ". How many times is this neighbour's neighbour expected to break their leg? Hardly the vocational career-path the interviewer is attempting to suggest it is.

And - random thoughts - ramps, stairs, wheelchair access etc etc.

Most responses I've seen seem to think that businesses - as we did - realised years before which systems would fall over on 1/1/2000...and sorted them out in time.
