New York Marathon tomorrow. It has or did have a later start than normally the case. That is my excuse for having eight Dunkin' Donuts pre-race.You go through the five boroughs from Staten Island to Central Park.Let's just say I took my time and savoured the experience.

Morning All

I enjoyed Gogglebox very much last night. Among the heart-rending cancer appeal stories (nothing more to say), there was plenty for the politically engaged!

Of course Jeremy Corbyn was one of the "celebrity" viewers. Unsurprisingly he cam over as very normal. Then one of the clips was Michael Fabricant on celebrity First Date. My word! And then plenty of discussion of the sleaze in Parliament.

I've had suspicions before that Gogglebox is a bit to the left ;-)

That would indeed be newsworthy if it was the younger GB - however, its his dad.

Still interesting, though - he became quite friendly with the Clintons over time despite the very negative campaign the Republicans fought again Bill back in 1992.

(the 25th anniversary of that election was yesterday btw)

George W might not have voted for Hillary, but he didn't vote for Trump, either.

Well apparently it was legal but Green's statement attributes the story to a disgruntled policeman who got rapped over the knuckles over Green's arrest at the time.

If the ST have got this wrong there's a few journos' jobs gone for certain.

The farm will also open brand new scientific and educational centres for environmental studies students, to carry out case studies on-site as part of their learning curriculum.

In a world where being a bastard is rewarded - promotion, election to Office etc - it is hardly surprising that societal shift is towards the less pleasant end of the spectrum. From Digging for Victory to Brexit in our case.
