In the Commons a Labour MP, Peter Kyle, used a point of order to ask about the Brexit talks. He said
This is a shambles that puts into perspective the constitutional settlement for our country here. Can we expect her [Theresa May] to make a statement tomorrow?
John Bercow, the Commons speaker, said he had been told May would be making a statement to the Commons about the deal this week and had expected it tomorrow.

(Now it will probably come later, once the deal has been finalised.)

Scotland, Wales and London all united in demanding same EU deal as Northern Ireland.

And to be fair Scotland and London did vote Remain.
How about a deal where the Remain constituencies remain and the leave constituencies leave and then we've all listened to the will of the people and there'll be scary amounts of opportunities for the administrative services sector growth.

I honestly don't understand how anyone could have been optimistic.

And genuinely I don't think the DUP are to blame here. The idea that the UK would change the whole political course of Northern Ireland simply to solve a problem with Brexit seems just weird to me.

The reason for today’s failure in the Brexit talks is the grubby deal the Tories did with the DUP after the election. Each passing day provides further evidence that @Theresa_May’s Government is completely ill-equipped to negotiate a successful deal for our country.

I'd be wary in fingering the DUP too much. Say the Tories blocked it. Which is also true. Swap those DUP for 10 more Tory MPs and it's still not going through.
