"" The EU is preparing to present Britain with a skeleton, Canada-style trade deal by the early summer if the UK is unable to clarify its demands and remains in “Brexit La-La land”, according to senior European officials.

The fallback plan considered by Brexit negotiators underlines the concern in Brussels, Berlin and Paris over Theresa May’s approach to future relations, which they fear will be too muddled to allow for meaningful negotiations.

Such a proposal would fall far short of what Britain is hoping for, with limited access for services, which make up a large part of the UK economy.""

Yup ! Since the UK is lazy/clueless/very clever/ expecting EU to do all the fucking work, they ARE doing the work , in their own interest, to save everyone frome ((((brexititis))).

Just because I like it, watched the film on TV yesterday, and Will Young has a wonderful voice. That good enough?

And he can act - not that that that's really relevant to this clip. That good enough?

Oh - and the next song is lovely, too. Real sob-maker.

That isn't the way the franchising system is supposed to work. I don't think nationalising will do any good at all, but the government should have held Stagecoach to their bargain, which was a good deal for the rest of us.

Lib Dems 'facing fight for political future' in 2018

Former staffers and academics warn of ‘genuine fears for the future’ with many of the party’s 12 MPs having small majorities

The Liberal Democrats face being squeezed even further in 2018, with the party likely to struggle to make itself heard in the debate beyond Brexit and real fears for its future as a political force, former party staffers and academics have warned. (Guardian, my emphasis)
Have they contrived to make themselves as irrelevant as UKIP? Perhaps Labour is getting it right.
