I've just come across this post over at the Guardian. I'd been wondering when this would be floated as a solution!
Has anyone here heard the LBC thing referred to?

Comical LBC right now. Brexiteers proposing Ireland should leave the EU as well in order to solve the border issue. (Politics Live, Guardian)
How about the entire EU27 leave the EU and negotiate a mutual, tariff free trade deal based on free movement with each other and the UK? That'll fix it.

A short thread about Brexit.
1. The UK will leave the EU on 29 March 2019 by automatic operation of law - unless one of a very few things happen.
All other things being equal, leaving on 29 March 2019 is the most likely outcome.
With or without a withdrawal agreement.
(not short but worth the scary read)

There's something been on my mind and I've tried to write the post several times only to leave it. I'll try again.
I don't mind what I consider absurd content published in the Guardian, as long as good stuff is published too. I appreciate the platform below the line. There are many commentators I've known and loved for years still posting there. It's a private business, the Guardian. It's not the BBC, it's not got a mandate to provide a public service. More often than not, the Guardian posts factual information and gives me a reputable source linked in the content in order for me to check their sources. I found you all through a Guardian link years ago. Please know my opinion about the news outlet is only that. Most of the information I read and use daily is most often from the ONS, NAO and other research-based organisations.
