One of "Super Thursday's" byelections saw UKIP finish behind the LibDems in Tendring (ie greater Clacton) Stick a fork in this party, its done.

Well that explains it. This was pretty much me:
Louise Craig......

"I get a lot of fat wood pigeons jumping up and down on my chimney and I first of all thought the noise was them but they must have put on a heck a lot of weight to make the house shake," she told the BBC.
Except I thought the bang was a seagull or a cat landing on the flat roof and the lurch as the house moved and settled again just a figment of my imagination. :D

Did anyone else get the full bang and lurch experience?

Dan Snow is a professional historian. You would think he wouldn't take the word of a R-W historian at face value, especially the day after the Czech's have debunked the story. A member of the Privy Council wouldn't be checked?

Oh, and the Trump story? Seems to have some legs, considering his lawyer at the time paid her a load of money.

We did cover it yesterday, but if you really need the help:

The Sun’s account was further disputed in Czech press on Friday. New agency ČTK quoted Svetlana Ptáčníková, who heads the Czech Security Forces Archive, which keeps documents from the now defunct Czechoslovak communist secret service (known as the StB). She said although Corbyn did meet an StB officer — referred to as Jan Dymic in the archives — the Labour leader considered him a diplomat.
One thing to remember, if people can tell you're a spy, you're a pretty shitty spy.

Maybe I should have quoted the whole article:
“Mr. Corbyn was neither registered [by the StB] as a collaborator, nor does this [his alleged collaboration] stem from archive documents,” Ptacnikova said.

The Czech archive keepers have found signs that the StB tried to prevent Corbyn from discovering the real identity of the Czechoslovak official he was meeting, Ptacnikova said.
The Sun story is that Corbyn knowingly passed on info to a Czech spy.

I don't think that is right. Re-read the observer link I gave. It is quite consistent with the politics.eu piece. Corbyn is accused of being either a stooge or the StB or, more plausibly, a naive idiot. Given that on every single issue for four decades he sides against what he perceives as "western Imperialism" that he is such a fool is hardly news. Like Trump and the pornstars. Nobody cares.

Given the IRA, Press Tv, Hamas, Stop the War etc, that he met with a Czech spy, whom he naively may have thought a 'diplomat', is small beer. His Campaign group credentials are longstanding. You either care about this stuff (I do) or you don't (most other people).

well another to add to your list of shit posts - in fact it may be one of the most laughable

Have you read the Observer story? In the second paragraph:
However, a disturbing new report in The Sun reveals that Corbyn was much more than just a left-wing activist in the 1980s—he was spying on his own country for the Warsaw Pact
Never mind that Corbyn was just a back bencher (how the fuck did he know what Maggie had for breakfast), did you read the part of the politico story where the Czechs say that
“Mr. Corbyn was neither registered [by the StB] as a collaborator, nor does this [his alleged collaboration] stem from archive documents,” Ptacnikova said.
.
