Maybe she should have done a better job of rebutting these claims earlier? Serious point btw.

and this does not include this on the front benches that feel the same way too (and DUP and itinerant Labour)

If that pushes the number up to 100 or so then there is a real problem......the soft Brexiteers on the Tory benches cannot muster the same numbers and are far less committed to the cause it seems

I had quite a bit of correspondence with Ann going back the the Ed days. She is very good, gets quick responses out to questions and manages to keep things light with a touch of humor.
She has rebutted claim previously - see her blog

Reading all these recent articles in the Guardian about the right wing attack on the welfare state and the sick and disabled made me think of Sitting Bull and his sheer incomprehension at how the white men were content to leave children to starve. He often gave the money he made in the Wild West Show he toured with to the beggars and homeless he met in the cities. I think this observation in particular was very astute.

Not sure Seumas' strategy on the Czech diplomat meeting is the right one.

Better to threaten press regulation after they go for someone else.

I doubt he was waiting for your approval

Doesn't your unfailing inability to predict anything correctly ever make you reticent of judging other people's approach?

You may not have noticed that Cameron had an enquiry on press regulation. Perhaps we could implement the recommendations from that

Making newspaper proprietors have to be resident EU citizens (or even UK Post Brexit) would be a good step too and has been a Labour intention for a while now

Something even the Americans got right - hence Digger now being a US citizen.

Part of Politics Live afternoon summary

- The UK will “have to have a customs union” with the EU after leaving the bloc, Jeremy Corbyn has said in remarks suggesting a further shift by Labour towards a softer Brexit.

- Farmers are running out of patience with what they see as government inaction over the future availability of seasonal fruit and vegetable pickers, the environment secretary Michael Gove has been told.

- Jeremy Corbyn has ridiculed the idea that he gave information to a communist spy during the cold war, calling the idea “nonsense” and castigating the newspapers that claimed he did so.
Good, good and good.

The USA is a despicable country. On what planet should these parents have to crowdfund their son's medical treatment after a school shooting ?

Now his family have to crowdfund his medical care.

Because of the callousness of a system that refuses to recognise healthcare as a human right.

Our NHS is incredibly precious.

This is a bit over the top, as you'd probably expect from Mason, but there's a lot to ponder.
