Snow again here in West Yorks this morning.

School closed until 11.30. In Leeds it's very slushy but compacting to ice which is almost worse.

Only thing that cheered me up was the guys driving big, flashy (probably rear wheel drive) BMWs, Audis etc unable to get up the gentle incline that is Woodhouse Lane, while less ostentatious characters pootled merrily past

German cars are rubbish in the snow, it's a fact. I expect there's a law everyone must use snow chains in Germany or something so they don't have to bother about snow performance. We used to have a diesel Fiat Panda that was great in the snow, my husband was even able to pootle past 4x4's in it which was immensely satisfying!

The Committee on Exiting the European Union publishes material from the documents provided by the Department for Exiting the EU, in response to the Humble Address of 31 January 2018.
At its meeting on Wednesday 7 March, the Committee agreed to publish the documents provided by the Department in full with the exception of a single annex highlighted by the Department as being sensitive to the ongoing EU-UK negotiations.

Just a quick note. Ephemerid has been quite unwell for about 10 days and the GPs have been having trouble addressing chest infections etc.
Yesterday early hours she was taken by ambulance to Nevil Hall Hospital in Abergavenny where she is now undergoing tests with two consultants who have found a pulmonary embolism.
She is aware of all your thoughts, love and wishes. Katie and I thank you all and will keep you informed if and when we can.

Introduction to The Corbyn moment and European socialism
Until now the arguments against Brexit have been largely ‘negative’. They focus on how bad Brexit would be for Britain. We believe there is a quite different argument to make about how good a Labour government inside the European Union (EU) could be for Europe and by extension for addressing the problems of globalisation.

Just to follow up on the very obvious and predictable demands that the UK honours its December commitments on the Irish border, we now also have, according to the yahoo news feed, the inclusion in the EU's withdrawal agreement of the requirement for a 'non-regression' clause on worker's rights and the environment to be a part of any trade agreement - so another Tory aspiration has to bite the dust or we march on to no deal.
