It's quite odd seeing Erdogan on his high horse about the Saudis.
At least it might make him think twice about bumping off any of the journalists he's got locked up.

Struck by the "irony" of Governmental bemoaning of not insuring/making provision when it systematically denies/residualises contributory effect and views the bespoke introduced cost saving allowance(s) specifically for purpose as "unsustainable" and worthy of 20% cut and/or attempted abolition.

I speak as a previous beneficiary, the fact I could continue work meant I was eligible for substantial recompense, something that would have been denied me under governmental social security "reform".Admittedly a particularity but an evidential possible consequence, never the less.

The title has been changed to the following:

'Glasgow refuse workers walk out in support of cleaners' pay strike'

That's fine, however, I don't think there was anything wrong with the original title.

He really gets better by the day
As sycophancy seldom goes unrewarded in Westminster, Hancock has managed to rise entirely without trace. First as a junior minister, then as culture secretary he contrived to leave no discernible mark and now finds himself in the thankless task of health secretary. Bullshit only gets you so far when you come up against squeezed budgets and an ageing population and reality is now beginning to bite. Hancock has aged several years in the past few months and now looks all of 18.
