Morning all.
Didn't the Conservatives used to criticise anything that smacked of "one size fits all"?HindleA wrote:Simplification is a very bad principle.

I'll have you know that this is a two catflap household. Not that she seems inclined to use either. She's quite capable of using them (in the summer) but, otherwise, demands commissionaire service.HindleA wrote:Constance demanding a catflap
I imagine that she's, rightly, pissed off about the fixed odd betting thing.Tracey Crouch, the sports minister, is not in the Commons for culture question and is reportedly meeting the chief whip, Julian Smith, the Times’ Patrick Kidd reports. According to the Telegraph, she is considering resigning. (Politics Live, Guardian)

After invasion by marauding mogs my eldest now has three cat-flaps. The outside one is a RFID chip-reader and then the cats pass through two more to get to the living quarters and sometimes somebody's nice warm bed . I liked 'commissionaire service'PorFavor wrote:I'll have you know that this is a two catflap household. Not that she seems inclined to use either. After we lost a super much-loved young cat some 25yrs ago, I decided to go for the generic name .PorFavor wrote:@frog222 What's the name of your new boss?

Arron Banks and other leave campaigners being investigated by National Crime Agency over 'multiple suspected offences' during referendum (Politics Live, Guardian)
Although I must admit when I read the above linked article about this I kind of assumed the so-called "deal" was something that is already available to third countries and thought the story is that we're willing to settle for that, which is why I thought it significant!Barnier says reports about EU and UK reaching deal on financial services 'misleading'
Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, has taken the unusual step of putting out a statement describing as “misleading” the story that appeared in the print edition of the Times under the headline “May seals Brexit deal on financial services”.
He also makes the point that “equivalence”, which is what the Times says has been negotiated (albeit, it says, in a slightly beefed up form), is a fairly routine EU offer.

(cJA emphasis)NCA initiates investigation following Electoral Commission referral
The NCA has initiated an investigation concerning the entities Better for the Country (BFTC) and Leave.EU; as well as Arron Banks, Elizabeth Bilney and other individuals. This follows our acceptance of a referral of material from the Electoral Commission.
Our investigation relates to suspected electoral law offences covered by that referral, as well as any associated offences.
While electoral law offences would not routinely fall within the NCA’s remit, the nature of the necessary inquiries and the potential for offences to have been committed other than under electoral law lead us to consider an NCA investigation appropriate in this instance.
This is now a live investigation, and we are unable to discuss any operational detail.

I think that's normal behaviour (for cats that is, not me personally) Mrs tbg. says he might be afraid of being ambushed, so will be ok coming in, but going out is more risky, especially if there's a lack of cover.frog222 wrote:After two weeks my three-year-old cat has learned to use his cat-flap.
PS Well , not completely ! He came in all by himself this morning, but after breakfast he just went and looked at it, waiting for me to open it and give him a little shove.
I introduced it to him when he was hungry, so a partially opened flap plus the sight of his biscuits inside, with a bit of a shove, took two weeks . I caught him yesterday looking for a cosy corner to pee, but gave him a talking-to and then he went to the flap, by himself . Opened on demand . He was out for six hours, then came in for lunch and a sleep before nighttime action.tinybgoat wrote:I think that's normal behaviour (for cats that is, not me personally) Mrs tbg. says he might be afraid of being ambushed, so will be ok coming in, but going out is more risky, especially if there's a lack of cover. Our resident princess (the cat) has been happier since some shrubs/flower pots were positioned to the side of the doorway. Also found same advice on web, so it must be true. !!frog222 wrote:After two weeks my three-year-old cat has learned to use his cat-flap.PS Well , not completely ! Yes. I guess Buckingham was in the ascendancy. He's a very gifted musician. Sadly Tusk largely bombed and his star started to wane I think and they drifted into more anodyne, though often charming, McVie territory.PorFavor wrote:Best thing Fleetwood Mac ever did.
