The Brexit deal is like a horror movie character going for a solo stroll in the woods at night, you know it’ll be brutally murdered, but by who?

No 10 slaps down Penny Mordaunt over plan to end Unesco funding

https://www.politicshome.com/news/uk/fo ... co-funding
According to the Times, the International Development Secretary had been preparing to end the UK’s £11.1m annual payment to the UN education and culture scheme, on the basis that it is bad value for money.

But today a spokesman for the Prime Minister insisted that the funding would continue, saying: "There has been no change to our commitment to Unesco.

We don't seem to have heard anything from Dominic Raab. Chris Grayling, however, is popping up at regular intervals.

I am told Cabinet was roundly bollocked by Theresa May today for leaking from it. She blamed leaks last week for the humble address defeat today, and asked them to stop. That too has now leaked.

It's a topsy turvy world when a Thatcher government achievement is now regarded as "imprisonment"

This is the moment of truth. This is the fork in the road. Do we pursue a future as an independent nation or accept EU domination, imprisonment in the customs union and 2nd class status. Cabinet and all Conservative MPs should stand up, be counted and say no to this capitulation.

The DUP’s leader, Arlene Foster, has given perhaps the clearest indicaton yet that her party is unwilling to give Theresa May the votes she may require to get her deal through Parliament. She has said:

We want a sensible deal which works for Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom and our neighbours in the Republic of Ireland. But our desire for a deal will not be superseded by a willingness to accept any deal.

An agreement which places new trade barriers between Northern Ireland and Great Britain will fundamentally undermine the constitutional and economic integrity of the United Kingdom. That is not acceptable.

Over time, such a deal will weaken the union. No unionist prime minister could argue that such a deal is in the national interest.

It would be democratically unacceptable for Northern Ireland trade rules to be set by Brussels. Northern Ireland would have no representation in Brussels and would be dependent on a Dublin government speaking up for our core industries. (Politics Live, Guardian)

Wasn't he busy briefing "off the record" last night that no deal would actually be fine and dandy?

Possibly a clue there........

Brexit deal latest: Cabinet sources say May’s pivotal 5 senior ministers - Raab, Hunt, Javid, Gove and Cox - will back it. Leadsom and Grayling also on board. McVey and Mordaunt so far not.
Well that'd be excellent news if those two quit.
