Could someone explain to me the exchange here, please, if you have time. I don't understand.

5 days of debate apparently :-o
I see you're giving up after the CLUES !

No stamina, the youth these days .

It might be worth your while to continue thinking, over time .

No one else has come up with a potential unifying proposition.

BREAK: Donald Trump says Theresa May's Brexit deal sounds like a good deal for the EU and it means "the UK may not be able to trade with the US".

You must admit he did liven things up, usually a bit too much, particularly with those who ALWAYS took the bait :-)
How is dear HowSillyOfMe the worst collaborator ?

Talking of silliness, I saw this bandied about earlier.

Gotta love that flat line for 1800 years or so...

And that "For millenia we were all back-breakingly poor" - well, that rather depends on who "we" are - there's an elite in very period in history that did very well for themselves.

Well even the elite then didn't have modern dentistry etc...
Now that we're mostly better off ...

Today I saw completely grotesque hundreds of square yards of plastic kiddies toys in both the Centre Leclerc and the Casino . The garden centre also had lifesize nodding Father Christmasses , fuckin reindeer going through all motions except passing one.

Conspicuous consumption, by (most of) the masses for a change, no art to be seen, so soulless.
