Begum has only UK citizenship. Government can't make a person stateless.

I guess to sum up:

Citizenship stripping and statelessness run contrary to every legal, human rights, security and moral norm. It is to be expected from a home office that has given us hostile environment, racist vans, Windrush and stop-and-search profiling

Widely telegraphed last night, though yes I only believe it now I actually see it.

Allen is quite possibly one of the more left wing recruits to the IG, tbh.

Is Begum a dual national? "Some having foreign roots"? Her parents may have been naturalised UK citizens but she was born in the UK; that doesn't make her naturalised, that makes her a UK citizen. She's nothing but a UK citizen. Taking citizenship off her is horseshit.

The "Three Amigas", surely?

And Anna Soubry has pulled out of a scheduled interview with Sky News. Although I can sympathise with anyone's reluctance to be locked in a room with the shrieking Kay Burley.

A 2012 tweet about Israel, apparently:

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/li ... n=sharebar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's not quoted in the article.

That is the official reason yes, but lots of Liverpool party members (including many left wing Corbyn supporters) pointing out the article in question likely didn't help.

Well I’m in the process of being stripped of EU citizenship. But everyone seems cool with that.

UK government webpages regarding UK citizenship, settlement, non-UK EU nationals responsibilities changes frequently; I look every couple of weeks and the information is different. The information and linked documents change. Prices for various changes. It's an intolerable strain on people affected by the changes.
