Morning.

Big news from Huddersfield is continuing moor fires :-(

In other news, the term "grandee" is significantly debased in being applied to Ann Widdecombe!

Agent May doing a cracking job at destabilising the UK, and now letting the Chinese into our 5G network development against all intelligence advice.

Well done Agent May!

Good.

Labour pledges to end 'slum' office housing

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48031661
Labour says it would scrap a government scheme that allows offices and industrial buildings to be converted into homes without planning permission.

The party said changes to permitted development rules in England had led to the creation of "slum housing and rabbit hutch flats".

It also said developers had been able to avoid building affordable homes.

The Conservatives said the plans would "cut house building and put a stop to people achieving home ownership".

I think that should be - 'did you ever think you would be represented by Ann Widdecombe?'!

She's top of the list, apparently, so is virtually guaranteed to be elected.

I wonder what's happening with Annunziata? I thought she was standing in the SW. If she's bumped down to no. 2, she's less of a shoe-in. Maybe she's standing somewhere else.

He escaped a prison sentence, which may reduce the likelihood of this petition succeeding. But people really don't like financial fiddling regardless, so........

(and wasn't Denis Macshane actually sent to jail for something rather similar?)
