Well we weren't going to walk from Ayres Rock to Alice Springs in lieu of five hour coach journey. The most scary journey I remember was the "seven sister" bus ascent up Troodos Mountain.

The losers are the gauges, either self or others,of worth according to car or indeed home ownership.I happen to have one not the other it means nothing as regards my self worth.

Of course I only have a Mont Blanc pen due to being a hard working taxpayer all my life and thoroughly deserve it or possibly spent half an hour's effort one afternoon and it happened to be my entry selected.

Having done it several times, have decided to let others have s chance. My main concern on the last few miles is how long it will take to get my baggage and restoration of necessary tobacco level.

...as anyone who takes climate change seriously would. Really not getting it, these people in charge. No wonder people are having to take to the streets. We have to stop burning fossil fuels today if we are to have a hope of curbing global warming. Not tomorrow or the day after. Not after we've fracked what piddly bits of gas and coal we have left, but right now. Germany & Spain are showing how much potential renewables have while we throw a strop over not being able to exploit our last few scraps of fossil fuels. If we act like this over a few measly pounds worth of profit, how can we expect countries around the world sitting on vast reserves to give them up? Every country can make the same arguments - jobs, fuel security etc - and they will have some resonance, but only the truly morally corrupt can have the audacity to suggest starting a new fossil fuel industry from scratch is the best way to reduce CO2 emissions.“We are listening to a small but loud environmental movement that opposes in principle all extraction of fossil fuels,” Engel wrote.

Responding to a Greenpeace FOI she wrote : “I tend to deal with everything on the day and delete what has been done
to avoid any huge build-ups or risk of duplication.
“The same is true of the few notes I take in meetings which I review in the evenings, action and throw away”.
Hmm.

Yeah, I agree. Part of being human includes noting others' characteristics and external paraphernalia surrounding them but that's just a start. If only she were saying this about wind and solar energy. There's no excuse for this person's ignorance about the dangers of continued reliance on fossil fuels.“The UK could be on the cusp of an energy revolution the like of which we have not seen since the discovery of North Sea oil and gas,” [Natascha Engel] wrote.
Hydraulic fracturing anywhere is a terrible idea. Compromised water supplies make fracking unacceptably dangerous for the UK.
