All the courage and the dreams that I have

Think I've done my bit
Re: Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th April 2019
While the Brexit Party is mostly just Nigel Farage, well funded but still just a fledgling party, Ukip does seem to remain something of a local force, standing members in local elections & leafleting etc. Will they retain some voter loyalty in the EU elections, do you think, or will they be eclipsed by Brexit Party? It seems to me some of the appeal of Ukip to working class voters is its accessibility for people to get more involved in politics and have their voice heard. I'm wondering if the Brexit Party is something rather different, more of a pure Tory Eurosceptic splinter group. It will be interesting to compare what kind of Brexit voters the two parties attract and if there are any significant differences between them.
Edited to add the above comment was prompted by the avalanche of Ukip leaflets I had through my door yesterday, despite the Labour poster in my window.

I'm not sure what's more remarkable. The lack of action by a government in the face of crisis or the lack of media opprobrium in the face of said lack of action.

In at least some of the Euro election regions, UKIP have "Brexit" as part of their official description. I suspect that is not accidental.Willow904 wrote:While the Brexit Party is mostly just Nigel Farage, well funded but still just a fledgling party, Ukip does seem to remain something of a local force, standing members in local elections & leafleting etc. Will they retain some voter loyalty in the EU elections, do you think, or will they be eclipsed by Brexit Party? You're exactly right. Polling cards arrived for the local election followed by polling cards for the EU election. Mr. citizen and I were both mildly surprised by the second. Surprise turned to more serious concern. We shouldn't be surprised by election materials. The lack of clear information regarding the UK-EU relationship isn't acceptable.

On my brief attempts at car driving I find it far less stressful,no need for parking, maintaining vehicle etc and there is something cool about being taken.

And you can choose the level of interaction subject to mood, very similar to organised runs eg.stick headphones on,dip in and out.

Yep. Current transport infrastructure makes not keeping a motor vehicle impractical if not impossible for many people.HindleA wrote:But I have choice.
