Theresa May says at #PMQs that there are more children in good or outstanding schools.

For the umpteenth time: this is misleading.
Everyone who cares, already knows.

Theresa May is not the only party leader today pulling up the metaphorical drawbridge to keep out her enemies. According to this Sun story, which must win the award for headline of the day, Nigel Farage, the Brexit party leader, has been “trapped on [his] Brexit bus due to people armed with milkshakes”.

He handled the milkshake splashing badly. I wouldn't waste food on him and it's not a wise action, throwing food not meant for eating. Someone could get hurt. However, better leaders have handled eggs and other foodstuffs making contact with their person with more dignity than this petulant child ranting about terrorism and led off on the verge of tears.

UK suffers crushing defeat in UN vote on Chagos Islands

General assembly strongly condemns British occupation of Indian Ocean territory

The United Nations general assembly has overwhelmingly backed a motion condemning Britain’s occupation of the remote Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean.

The 116-6 vote left the UK diplomatically isolated and was also a measure of severely diminished US clout on the world stage. Washington had campaigned vigorously at the UN and directly in talks with national capitals around the world in defence of the UK’s continued control of the archipelago, where there is a US military base at Diego Garcia. If May's last 'meaningful' reason to hold on is because she wants to say she was prime minister for longer than gordon brown, she's even more despicable than before.
