Liam Fox on Boris Johnson’s ‘GATT 24’ #Brexit claims: “It isn’t true, that’s the problem”

The trade secretary tells #Marr that the argument from Boris Johnson, that we can use world trade rules to avoid tariffs after Brexit, “isn’t true”

And if anyone knows all there is to know about untruths - especially with regard to the ease of "Brexiting" - it's Liam Fox.

I can't work out which reply you're referring to but the work of fiction that precedes it is quite something. So we're thinking it's normal now to scream like you're being murdered in response to your partner spilling wine on the sofa? Or did our novelist just overlook the screaming loud enough to be heard by all the neighbours and people in the street bit?

I mean, one couple could be overreacting but we've got two further sets of neighbours on the record now confirming the exceptional nature of the row. It's really hard to see how we can all be expected to normalize and rationalise this.

You know, I get Symonds isn't running for office and is perfectly entitled to her privacy and if she chooses to make no comment, that's fine, but all these third hand reports from male friends of Johnson saying "Carrie this" and "Carrie that" and basically speaking for her on social media is making me a little uncomfortable. A Sun article did very much the same thing making all sorts of claims for what she thought about it all but with no direct quotes.

Eg:

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Andrew Lilico@andrew_lilico
So apparently Carrie Symonds' furious the police were called, seeing it as politically-motivated, & apparently she was very much on edge because she suspected she might hv bn raped when young by the black-cab rapist Worboys (who drugged her). Are you all proud of yourselves now?

All Johnson had to do was to say "Yes, we had a row. It got a bit heated. I want to apologise to our neighbours for the noise."

And that would have been the end of it.

Thanking the neighbours for their concern, and thanking the police for turning up would have been a good move, too.

You know when you're in a good mood, you've had a good day, everything was splendid, and you just say fuck off to the rest until tomorrow.

No? Well neither can I because I'm a 'depressive'.

That doesn't make me unhappy, just genetically averse to being unduly cheerful.

What else can any of us say?

The Tories are about to elect an absolute piece of shit as our Prime Minister.

A clown who's father drove his mother into a mental hospital with his affairs and lies and his son decided to emulate his father.

What a dick.
